What is TakePilot

TakePilot is a tool for making short-form video ads by chatting. Describe the video you want in one sentence, and an AI agent writes the script, picks a voice, generates the footage, adds captions and sound effects, and finishes it as one video. You can then change it in the chat, or open it in the editor and change it by hand.

It is built for vertical ads of 15 to 45 seconds, like TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.

What you can do

Go from one sentence to a finished video

Write the video you want in "New chat". The agent works through script → voice → footage → edit, and shows each step in the chat.

Use the same people and products every time

Register the people (avatars) and products that appear in your videos under "Assets", then write @name in the chat to use them. Faces, voices and product looks stay the same across every cut. See Register avatars and products.

See what it costs before anything is spent

Before steps that use a lot of credits, such as generating footage, the agent shows what it will make and what it costs, then waits. Nothing is generated until you press "Approve and continue". You can change this per chat (Video shape and autonomy).

Keep changing it after it is made

You get an editable project, not just a rendered file. Ask in the chat ("make the last caption bigger"), or press "Edit" under a video to open the editor (Edit by hand).

Learn from videos that are working

"Reference videos" finds short videos that are doing well and shows how their scenes are structured. Ask the agent to "use the same flow as this one" and it borrows the structure for your product (Use reference videos).
